Fire resistant cables are used in emergency circuits to tackle during fire, in lifts or similar critical areas where continuous functioning is necessary even in the case of fire. Voltage range includes 0.6/1.0 kV. Cables are mostly manufactured to BS 7846 standard.

Properties
- Fire resistant to BS 6387 CWZ & Annex L of BS 7846
- Flame retardant to IEC 60332-3/Cat.A
- Low smoke emission to IEC 61034-1 & 2, light transmittance 70%↑
- Halogen acid gas test to IEC 60754-1 & 2, halogen content 0.5%↓
